Another day another scope

Scope #4 is scheduled for tomorrow, Valentine's Day. Lucas doesn't seem anxious or scared. He is pretty nonchalant about it really. I'm not feeling too nervous either. Maybe we are getting too used to these and know that it's just part of our lives. He doesn't even seemed to be bothered by the fact that it's on Valentine's Day.

Last week, he went in to his pediatrician's office for his pre-op physical. He's hovering around 39.5 lbs but the good news, he's been maintaining his weight since going Top 6 plus corn and oats. While I was talking to the ped, Lucas whispered, "Can I tell him what I CAN'T have?" I said, "Yes." He proceeded to rattle off pretty much everything. I was pretty surprised but how much he really does know.

Since going Top 6 plus corn and oats, he's been doing awesome! He rarely asks to have "regular" milk. He is proactive in asking questions regarding ingredients in foods. He even "reads" the labels. At school, he's been absolutely great about reminding his teachers of his allergies. Only 2-3 times has he mentioned anything about certain foods. Recently, he mentioned that he missed eating pizza (Amy's brand). He has tried a few new things too. He likes lettuce (dipped in a little sugar of course). He has tried peas, celery, port roast, veggie chips, and blackberries. All of which he's not a total fan but he was willing to give them a try and say maybe when he's such and such age he'll try it again.
Above is one of his many gymnastics pictures. He chose the pose on his own and totally lines up with his attitude and personality.
